THE PROJECT
Echo is a conceptual podcast platform and independent media website focused on voices, storytelling, and sound-driven narratives. The project explores how a podcast website can move beyond traditional episode libraries and become a curated digital experience — combining strong visual identity, structured content presentation, and intentional listening journeys. The platform was designed as a media destination, not a podcast feed — prioritising atmosphere and content depth. The design focuses on highlighting each episode as a standalone story, while still supporting seamless exploration across the podcast universe.

WHAT WE DO
Most podcast websites use familiar streaming patterns where episodes are presented as chronological lists with minimal context. In Echo, the focus shifts toward clarity and structure — episodes are designed as individual content units with strong visual hierarchy, clear entry points, and supporting information that helps users quickly understand what each episode is about before listening. Episodes, hosts, and guest contributors act as natural exploration paths, allowing users to move through stories, voices, and topics in an intuitive and meaningful way. Featured episodes establish the tone of the podcast, while supporting content expands the storytelling universe.

The interface uses bold typography, cinematic imagery, and strong contrast to create a distinctive audio-first identity. The layout structure remains visible and intentional — episodes, metadata, and supporting content are clearly organised to help listeners understand context, story themes, and production details.

Visual elements reinforce the emotional and atmospheric qualities of audio storytelling without interrupting the listening experience. The design positions the podcast as a cultural and creative product — not just content to consume, but stories to experience.
Echo presents an alternative approach to podcast platform design — one where storytelling, visual identity, and content structure work together to create a focused, intentional, and memorable listening environment.
